Kankakee County Jail Visitation
There are two types of visitation at the Kankakee County jail facilities: onsite visitation and home visitation.
For onsite visits, every inmate is limited to one on-site visit per week. Before the visit can be scheduled, inmates must fill out a visitation list on which the names of visitors must be mentioned. Visitors should schedule the visits 24 hours in advance. A maximum of three people including children are allowed to visit an inmate at one time. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on the visitation list. Visitors must arrive at least 15 minutes before the visit and present a valid picture identification.
For home visitation, visitors also need to be on the visitation list. Visits must be scheduled at least 30 minutes before closing the previous visitation day. Please do not photograph or video record the visits.
